Project ManagerThe Workforce Insight Project Manager works closely with our clients to develop and implement off-the shelf and/or customized workforce management solutions. With their Workforce Insight teammates and our clients, PM’s develop a strategic roadmap to ensure that the maximum value of our clients' workforce management investment is achieved.
You will participate in all phases of the business cycle, starting with identifying the potential benefits a client can achieve through better workforce management and ensuring those objectives are met through the successful implementation of the chosen solution. You will learn the strengths and weaknesses of various workforce management solutions available in the marketplace.
During the implementation, you will lead the day to day aspects of the project such as creation and management of the project plan, support of the design, build and testing efforts, as well as deployment and successful use of the solution. You will use best practices and proven methodologies to make certain solutions are implemented on time and on budget, while ensuring that the end result meets the business objectives of the client. You will lead a team of Workforce Insight resources on complex projects for large organizations. You are the front-line contact for our clients and must have the ability to communicate to all levels within our clients organization from the executive sponsor to IT project members. PM’s will provide status on the progress of the implementation by identifying, escalating and resolving issues that may impede or delay the project. You will ensure that all Workforce Insight team members understand client expectations and you will also provide feedback to the team to help them grow professionally and personally.
The PM will administer the project budget including forecasts against actuals, travel and expenses and collection of receivables. The change management process will also be rigorously managed by the PM.
The Project Manager will make certain that every Workforce Insight client becomes a reference. As a trusted business advisor you may publish white papers, give seminars, and research the industry.
The position requires in-depth experience with Workforce Management or Human Capital Management solutions, such as Kronos, Oracle, Workbrain, Workforce Software, SAP, PeopleSoft, Timera, Datamatics, Blue Cube, Aspect, Blue Pumpkin, etc. Additional experience with HR, Payroll, Scheduling, and Analytic/Business Intelligence solutions is preferred.
Required Skills & Background:
Minimum of 7 years leading large and complex, enterprise, software implementations, specifically in the Workforce Management or Human Capital Management space.
Proven strength in developing personal relationships and becoming a trusted business advisor to clients. Rigorous planning skills and meticulous follow-through while also remaining flexible. Strong written and oral communication skills. Solid business understanding to allow you to communicate to both client executives as well as IT project members. Experience working in complex business environments and on high-pressure, fast-paced projects in a collaborative team setting. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Superb leadership abilities. In-depth knowledge of project implementation methodology(s).
Skilled in requirements gathering and documentation
Expertise in planning complicated projects, budgeting and scheduling of resources.
Willingness to assume risk but be well-rewarded based on the success of our clients.
Technical competency in area’s such as:
o SQL and Relational Databases
o J2EE Java development
o Server side operating platforms
o Web application development, Java, Database development and design Java code development
Project Management certification such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), through the Project Management Institute (PMI)
College/University degree.
Willingness to travel up to 50-75%
